Prayer From Psalms 139

The inspiration for this work comes from Psalms 139. As I was reflecting on it, this part of the verse made me think of how great the love of God is, even in the midst of the darkest nights of our soul. "Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead), behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will take hold of me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will cover me, And the night will be the only light around me,” Even the darkness is not dark to You and conceals nothing from You, But the night shines as bright as the day; Darkness and light are alike to You.” (Psalm 139:7-12).

We all have life choices or circumstances that are undesirable to us. But God our Father is reassuring us that He never leaves us nor forsakes us, He is there to redeem awful times. God is able to bring us out of Darkness and will guide us all the way through to His revealing Light. He knows our innermost being and has seen us right from the beginning. He is a God who loves to express his amazing love to us and guide us on the right path in life. This is a painting made while I was also praying Psalms 139 for the lady who had experienced a terrible and traumatic past.
