Routing the Enemy
At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, I started to teach myself how to play the guitar. I ask God to give me the patience to learn how to play it. Well, he had given me word, He said, “I have given you the passion". That was an interesting word for me, and I greatly agree that what makes us accomplish and pursue what God made us be is not just the need for patience but passion, which is also attached to our giftings and talents.
Routing the enemy is the vision that God has given me during global chaos. With the amount of panic and fear that most of us have experienced, we are to wage war by positioning ourselves to worship. All throughout the Bible, especially in the Old Testament, worshipers are positioned as front-liners on the battlefield. See 2 Chronicles chapter 20 as one of the references.
2 Chronicles chapter 20:18–22: "Then King Jehoshaphat bowed low with his face to the ground. And all the people of Judah and Jerusalem did the same, worshiping the Lord. Then the Levites from the clans of Kohath and Korah stood to praise the Lord, the God of Israel, with a very loud shout. Early the next morning, the army of Judah went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. On the way, Jehoshaphat stopped and said, "Listen to me, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed." After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the Lord and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang: "Give thanks to the Lord; his faithful love endures forever!" At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves.
Worship is the greatest spiritual warfare. What He has given me is not just the ability to play the guitar but a gift to praise and give all the glory to Him who fought on my behalf.
