The Safe Place

This painting was inspired by a session with an individual we were ministering to, where she discovered past experiences that had long been buried. When God provided comfort to her wounded soul, a child-like aspect that had been secluded for a considerable time emerged in an open field near a serene lake. During a vision, the Lord revealed to me imagery reminiscent of Psalms 23, which I shared with her. This profound experience has lingered in my thoughts, highlighting how God always offers a beautiful and secure haven when ministering to our broken selves.

In the painting, observe the tranquil, girl-shaped lake reflecting stillness, peace, tranquility, and hope – symbolizing the restoration God brings when we seek Him. On the right side, the depiction of Jesus' love portrays Him as our caring Shepherd, ready to protect and guide us along life's journey with profound intimacy. The surrounding trees resembling walls of fire signify the safeguarding presence we encounter as we embark on our healing journey with Him.
